Pointballaz, eine Streetballcrew aus Amerika. Eine? Das Wort trifft nicht ganz die Bedeutung, die sie versuchen in der zur Zeit riesigen Welt des Streetballs einzunehmen. Die Crew besteht aus dem Mentor und Founder Jem, Ghostrider, Rock A Bye, Hitman und Mr. Chip.
Aber nicht nur Basketball ist ihre Stärke. Seit einiger Zeit produzieren die fünf für ihre Clips immer wieder gute Raptracks. So machte z.B. Mr. Chip den Track zum Streetballaz.net Team Clip, der sehr positives Feedback, auch wegen der Raps, von allen Seiten bekam. Also eine interessante Gruppe von Streetballern, bei denen es sich lohnt sie hier mal näher vorzustellen.

Background: Sein Name enstand spät. Erst bei den Pointballaz bekam er seinen Nickname, weil er die Fähigkeit hatte, jeden Schuß zu treffen. Außerdem soll der Vergleich mit der eigentlich Bedeutung des Hitmans (Killers) ebenfalls zutreffen. Kill you on court.

Background: Sein Name kommt von chip off the block, ganz der Vater. Daher Mr. Chip. Ist MC in der Burn-n-Vibes Crew zusammen mit Ghostrider.

Jem: I m good man just chilling trying to balance running this website and college at the same time.

Right Back: Okay, First of all, give me YOUR description of STREESTYLE. What does it mean for you to play "streetstyle"?

Jem: It means to use your skills and creativity in the game of basketball any way your mind wants you to do it. And to model or modify the games of legends before me like Rafer Alston. To be different on the court every were I play.

Right Back: What`s the name of your crew/squad and how does it come into being? And who re the members?

Jem: The "Point Ballaz" the name come from poinciana were I live better known as "The Point" so were called the point ballaz. The team consist of JEM, HITMAN, ROC-A-BYE, GHOSTRIDER, AND MR.CHIP.

Right Back: Tell me something about your beginnings. Street? School?

Jem: I started out at 12 years old playing ball with cats like 18 19 years old and learning from them. I made my middle school team and from there I have been balling since. I made my high school teams but I was very short in high school real short I just caught my growth spurt. But I had talent so I always made the team. Then I started this website called and1ballazplyground.cjb.net when I got to
college people loved it so I went official and got streetballaz.net and here I am today.

Right Back: Tight. Okay, as far as I know, Rafer "Skip to my lou" Alston is your favorite player. True. Why? Did you meet him?

Jem: I wish I could meet him, haven't met him yet. I think he is the best streetballa to play the game. I knew about skip way before and1 because one of my high school friends Rob use to play with him. Ever since then I did what ever I could to learn every thing about skip and his game. I feel he is the best, I just want to have my name up there with the best streetball legends ever.

Right Back: Word! 1 Love. He`s the king. What is your favorite move? (Truballers favorite move is the moonwalk)

Jem: It might be an old move but I love the Shamgod I do that move a lot and it
always works.

Right Back: Oldy but Goldy. One of the best fake moves ever.

Jem: The favorite move that I do is "Freeze" also I love the "air shamgod" by hotsauce.

Right Back: Yeah, Hot did that move in an espn and1 open run n the crowd goes crazy. You said to me, you have dreams that can become reality. What kind of
dreams? Tell me more about your intentions?

Jem: The dreams was always to become known worldwide for what I do I feel this will happen. Another dream was to be working in partnership with a clothing line this may happen also. My intentions is to basically be the next AND1 or do it on a different level.

Right Back: Always increase the level. Whats up with Steve Young aka Truballer? Is he a member of the Point Ballaz? Please, tell me something about him.

Jem: I met Tru Baller through e-mail and phone, we later met up in Daytona Beach (Tru`s hometown) thats when the great daytona clip was filmed. He was sick by far some of the best talent I seen in a while. Every one who seen the clips was like who is that guy, he got mad love for the footage I hope to work with him more in the near future.

Jem: You can expect it next summer. It is the streetballaz.net mixtape. There will be new moves, new players, new studio made tracks, and hopefully some
sponsors but one thing for sure it will be hot.
